Van Gils Sweet Creations is a fast growing player in the frozen dessert business.
To support this growth, the Quality & Food Safety management system was totally rebuild, with the aim to make the system review and maintenance less time consuming. The number of procedures and documents was reduced and written more user-friendly: the system is working for the people and not the other way around.
Together with the organisation, different Quality indicators were developed and implemented, making quality improvement measurable and easy to understand. By analysing existing data, more useful improvement actions were taken; avoiding immediate actions to make more time available to further improve the system, to prevent quality deviations and to spend more time on product innovation.
